Penguins, Elephant Seals and Island Highlights at Falkland Is.
A tour that combines Stanley with wildlife stops like Kelp Point and Gypsy Cove is special because it blends cultural history and local highlights in the world’s most southerly capital with close-up encounters with iconic sub-Antarctic wildlife. In Stanley you’ll see charming British-style architecture, the Christ Church Cathedral, the Whalebone Arch, historic monuments, shipwrecks and hear local stories that bring the Falklands’ heritage to life. From there you head out in a 4×4 across rugged landscapes to Kelp Point, where you can watch massive Southern Elephant Seals lazing on the shore alongside playful gentoo penguins in their natural habitat — often with penguins coming close if you stay still. Then at Gypsy Cove near Stanley, you’ll enjoy a scenic bay and Magellanic penguins nesting among the tussac grass and often a variety of other birds, all against a dramatic white-sand beach backdrop.

Let the Bertha’s Beach Penguins Make You Smile
Visit gentoo penguins on a pristine beach during our 5-hour tour. A bit over an hour’s drive from Stanley, Bertha’s Beach will welcome us with its white sands and crystal clear water. The area has been recognized as a wetland site of international importance under the Ramsar Convention. Bertha herself was a ship that didn’t make it, and got wrecked by the shore, losing its precious cargo – planks of cedar wood, scattered on the beach to this day (you will notice there are almost no trees in the Falklands). We will visit the colony of Gentoo penguins - noisy, but fascinating creatures. Lunch on the beach or in the car, your choice, might be a bit windy there. Afterwards we will travel back to Yorke Bay and Gypsy Cove to see even more penguins on the dunes or in burrows(if we are lucky). Lady Liz is a must see landmark in Falklands, you will have a chance to know why. We then show you the highlights of Stanley, the capital city of the Falklands.

On an odd occasion a King will visit. The tour also includes the dramatic Lady Elizabeth shipwreck, an atmospheric relic of the Falklands’ maritime past and one of the islands’ most photogenic landmarks. This tour is ideal for cruise visitors, short-stay travelers, and photographers, combining wildlife, scenery, and history into a fast-paced, flexible, and visually rewarding experience — a true snapshot of the Falkland Islands.
