Huangshizhai is one of the five major tourist routes in Zhangjiajie's Wulingyuan Scenic Area. There is a saying that "He who does not reach Huangshizhai does not pay a true visit to Zhangjiajie".
Star-Plucking Terrace: Located on the eastern peak, it juts out from the cliff. It has a magnificent view, with the wind swirling the clouds, the river flowing through the forest, and the waterfall pouring down into the valley below.
Pillar in the South Sky: It is a 200 - meter - high solitary peak in the southeastern valley. With bushes on top and trees covering the bottom, it stands firmly, resembling a pillar reaching up to the sky.
Immortal Turtle in the Mist: In the west of Huangshizhai, there is an oval - shaped rock that looks like a huge turtle, about 5 meters long, 2 meters wide, and 2 meters high, as if creeping slowly in the mist.
Six Wonder Pavilion: It is a great place to overlook the surrounding scenery.

Yangjiajie Scenic Area
Yangjiajie Scenic Area is one of the core scenic areas in Zhangjiajie's Wulingyuan Scenic Area. It is famous for its primitive natural scenery and the "险" (steepness) feature. Here are some of its notable attractions:
Oolong Village: It was formerly known as "Heilong Village" and was the residence of bandits in western Hunan. The village is built against the mountain, and the path up the mountain is very steep. You need to use your hands and feet to climb, and pass through three "Ghost Gates" on the way.
Tianbo Mansion: It is a platform on the top of the mountain, surrounded by dozens of cliffs. There are more than 10 natural stone walls of different heights, which look like the ruins of the Tianbo Mansion of the Yang Family Generals. It is one of the best photography locations in Zhangjiajie.
One Step to Heaven: It is the highest peak in Yangjiajie. After climbing 32 iron ladders, you can reach the top of the mountain.

Golden Whip Brook
Jinbian brook is a signature scenic spot in Zhangjiajie Wulingyuan, celebrated for its crystal - clear water and towering quartz sandstone peaks lining both banks. Stretching about 5.7 kilometers, it is named after the Golden Whip Rock—a 380 - meter - tall sharp peak resembling a whip piercing the sky.
Golden Whip Rock: The iconic landmark of the stream, standing straight and imposing with lush vegetation clinging to its surface.
Flower - Fruit Mountain: A tranquil section dotted with ancient trees, where visitors can spot macaques frolicking among the branches.
Water Curtain Cave: A hidden grotto with a gentle waterfall cascading over its entrance, creating a fairy - tale - like scene.
Pig Bajie's Wife's House: A rock formation that vividly resembles the legendary character's dwelling, adding a touch of folklore charm.

Ten Miles Gallery
Zhangjiajie's Ten-Mile Gallery is one of the core scenic areas of Wulingyuan in Zhangjiajie. It is a must-visit for tourists.

Tianzi Mountain
Tianzi Mountain is one of the four major scenic areas in Zhangjiajie's Wulingyuan Scenic Area. It is renowned for its unique natural scenery and rich cultural connotations.
Yubi Peak: Located in the deep valley 80 meters west of Tianzi Pavilion in Tianzi Mountain Scenic Area, several stone peaks about 100 meters high are arranged in a staggered manner, like inverted imperial brushes, which are hidden and visible in the clouds.
Fairy Presenting Flowers: It is a stone peak that resembles a fairy holding flowers and smiling at tourists. The facial features are clear and the shape is lifelike.
Military Forces Gathering: Located in the deep valley 1 kilometer southeast of Laowuchang, more than 30 odd - shaped peaks are arranged in a staggered manner, just like the army of King Tianzi gathering.
