Old Fort
Also known as the Arab Fort and by other names is a fortification located in stone town, the capital of Zanzibar. It is the oldest building in stone town. lt is located on the main seafront, adjacent to another landmark building of the city the House of wonders (the former palace of the Sultan) and facing the Fordhani Gardens.

Forodhani Gardens
Is a small part in the historical City of stone town, Zanzibar, The gardens are located along the main sea walk of stone town, just in front of the famous buildings the House of wonders and Old fort. The gardens are especially busy after sunset, when tourist and local gather in a popular food street market in the main square, to have dinner enjoying Swahili and Zanzibari cousin delicious such as grilled seafood, samosas, cassava sweet potatoes, Zanzibar mix (urojo), Zanzibar pizza.

Old Customs House
It was built in 18th century The grandson of Sultan Said was proclaimed Sultan himself here in 1896 it faces out to sea on mizingani Road. It is worth a visit however to see it's beautifully carved wooden door with fish, lotus and anchor motifs.

Stone Town
Stone town is a city of prominent historical and artistic importance in East Africa. Its architecture, mostly dating back to the 19th century, reflects the diverse influences underlying the Swahili culture, giving a unique mixture of Arab, Persian, Indian, Indian and European elements. For this reason the town was designated as a UNESCO world Heritage site in 2000.
In my stone town walking tour l will show you the real culture of the city. Next to the well know listed attractions, I will also show you some local cultural rich place like the Ismail Khoja Jamat Khana, the Narrow streets of Stone Town, the Zanzibar carved doors and City center (jows corner).

Is one of the markets which has more than one name some them call spice market, darajani market or local market most of the things that they sell in darajani are fresh you can see a lot of fresh fruits, fish and spices.

Old Slave Market/Anglican Cathedral
For centuries Zanzibar was the fulcrum of political and economic power in East Africa as well as the site of the region most notorious slave. Slave captured on the mainland were brought to Zanzibar in chains to be sold in the city slave market often enduring horrific hardship on their journey. It because the island was so central to the slave trade that it played such as an important role in the abolition of slavery not just in Africa but worldwide. The market was closed on the orders of the Sultan in 1873.

Is located in the heat of stone town Zanzibar Fred mercury was born in Zanzibar and moved to England around 1963.
The museum showcases accord of Zanzibar starting from the late 1800,s the birth place of Farroukh bulsara, his roots with the Zoroastrian, Religion, his childhood and upbringing in Zanzibar, followed by his schooling Panchangani ,India and then his extraordinary journey to becoming one of the greatest starts of all time.
