Two Dalmatian cities, Zadar from the Neolithic time and Šibenik founded by Croatians, will both astonish you in their own way. Zadar was founded on a peninsula, Šibenik in the middle of the river mouth. Urban settlements inhabited continuously for several millennia, rich in the legacy of Roman, early Christian, early Croatian and medieval culture.
