Wolong national Nature Reserve is the earliest, largest, and best-know panda reserve in the world. It was hit by the catastrophic Wenchuan Earthquake in 2008. After years of road construction, travelers can visit Wolong Panda Base now. Accompanied by a professional panda expert who introduced you the topics of the panda discovery, the history of panda in China, the classification, and panda conservation.
***Starting from April 25, 2024, panda volunteers will not be allowed to enter the panda enclosure, and the arrangement of clean the panda enclosures & collect panda poop will be canceled.

7:00am Pickup at your Chengdu hotel
7:00am to 9:00am Head to Wolong Panda Base (2 hours ride)
9:10am Enter Wolong Panda Base (admission included)
9:10am to 12:30am Stroll through the beautiful Panda base.
12:30am to 2:00pm Lunch hour
2pm to 4pm Heading back to your Chengdu hotel (2 hours ride)

Wolong Giant Panda Nature Reserve
Located at the southwest of Wenchuan County, and first constructed in 1963, it is one of the earliest comprehensive national reserves. The place has more than 100 pandas, accounting 10% of the total number in the country. Besides, there are other rare animals and plants as well as rich water resources.
