The old town of Weymouth is principally based around either side of its historic harbour. Sticks & Bones, Bennett Fish and Chips and Fish n Fritz are both within the harbour location.

Due to its harbour side location, the forecourt of Weymouth Pavilion was in active use during World War Two, specifically for the launching of British and US Army forces travelling to undertake the D-Day landings in Northern France.
