The children's farm was started in 1980 as a demand of the squatter movement at that time. Since then it has been developped to a succesfull project not only for young people in the area

Berlin, Bethaniendamm
Bethaniendamm is a street with a garden strip in between, in time of the Berlin wall this was the place of the wall! You can still see the differences between the former east and west.

St Thomaskirche Kreuzberg
Before the wall it devided, this church was one of the biggest christian communites in Berlin. Today it hosts a great exhibition about the time of the Berlin wall in this neighbouhood.

Mariannenplatz (Berlin)
This jewelry place was the first in Kreuzberg and the Bethanien-Hospital from 1850 was the first buildung here. Today it is a multi-functional building including a musicschool and the cafe-restaurant "Three sisters". Nearby we see the first of the many ocupied houses in Kreuzberg. Another nice monument is the "Feuerwehrbrunnen" by the Kreuzberg artist Kurt Mühlenhaupt.

Oranienstraße
This is the main street in this part of Kreuzberg with a lot of back yards, pubs, graffity and old houses. Best atmosphere!

Kottbusser Tor
Here everything comes together - youngsters meeting for the night trip, turkish women to shop on the market, business people to celebrate end of days work and tourists to enjoy one of the atmospheric food places. Not to oversee many of socially deprived folks!
