The tour is on the Brazilian side and begins with a video shown in a movie theater at the Visitor Center, which tells the story of the dam's construction. The video is about 10 minutes long. Accompanied by a guide, the tour continues on a double-decker bus around the exterior of the dam with three stops for panoramic views. In addition to the privileged view from the spillway to the top of the dam, the route also allows contact with nature and beautiful landscapes within the Itaipu Tourist Complex. We end up passing from one country to the other, since the plant is in Brazil and Paraguay. The Itaipu dam is 7,919 meters long and 196 meters high. The Itaipu dam is a world leader in clean and renewable energy production. The tour ends by passing by the plant and over the dam where visitors can admire the view of Lake Itaipu. Ideal for the whole family.
