2
Chiesa di Santa Maria Formosa
It was erected in 1492 under the design by Renaissance architect Mauro Codussi. It lies on the site of a former church dating from the 7th century, which, according to tradition, was one of the eight founded by San Magno, bishop of Oderzo. The name "formosa" relates to an alleged appearance of the Holy Virgin disguised as a voluptuous woman

Basilica dei Santi Giovanni e Paolo (San Zanipolo)
One of the largest churches in the city, it has the status of a minor basilica. After the 15th century the funeral services of all of Venice's doges were held here, and twenty-five doges are buried in the church.

Casa di Marco Polo
Marco Polo was an Italian merchant, explorer, and writer, born in the Republic of Venice
