The easy route starts from the main entrance for about 1 km with a slight difference in altitude. Vendicari, the bird hotel, is today one of the most representative wetlands in Europe and its importance, from a naturalistic point of view, is recognized internationally. Of significant importance is the presence of endemic plants, halophytic plants and sclerophytic plants of the Mediterranean scrub: glasswort, carob, wild olive, mastic, myrtle and juniper coccolone which, in some places, reaches monumental proportions.
