Palazzolo Acreide is one of the most beautiful villages in Sicily as well as one of the seven UNESCO baroque historical heritage cities awarded in 2002, a village in the Sicilian hinterland in the province of Syracuse. It is 40 km from the capital at a height of 670 m above sea level. The architecture is in Baroque style but the town is of Greek origin. In the heart of the city there are various monuments in purely Baroque style, such as the churches of San Paolo and San Sebastiano, which we can consider the most important in the village, have also been they have been declared a world heritage site by UNESCO. Other churches and religious complexes enrich the historic center, such as Palazzo Judica and the longest baroque balcony in Europe supported by 27 "maskers", belongs to Palazzo Caruso which overlooks Via Garibaldi.

Caltagirone is located on three different hills, 608 m above sea level, this gives it a splendid view over the entire valley below. Having become famous for its ceramics, the city is developing a strong tourist vocation, managing to attract several hundred visitors during the year, the city is part of the list of assets registered as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2002, La Scalinata of Santa Maria del Monte is the main attraction that distinguishes this village, one hundred and forty-two steps decorated with ceramic tiles approximately 130 meters high which connects the upper part of the old part of the city with the new one at the bottom. We will visit the fantastic center on foot, visiting the municipal garden and the various churches and alleys to fully breathe the fascinating atmosphere that will overwhelm you, at the end of the visit we could stop for lunch in a traditional local restaurant.
