Itinerary
1
Castle of San Anton
San Anton Castle is a 16th century fortress located in A Coruña, originally built as part of the city's defensive system against attacks by sea, especially by English and French privateers. It stands on a small island joined today by a walk to the port.
Over time, in addition to its military function, it was used as a prison. It currently houses the Archaeological and Historical Museum of A Coruña, where pieces from different eras are exhibited, from archaeological remains to art collections and historical objects. In addition to its heritage value, it offers magnificent views of the bay and the city centre.
2
Paseo Maritimo
We travel the entire promenade the kilometers that make it up.
3
Torre de Hercules
The Tower of Hercules is a Roman lighthouse located in A Coruña, Galicia, declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2009. Built in the 1st century AD, it is the oldest Roman lighthouse in the world in operation. It is about 55 meters high and from its top you get a panoramic view of the Atlantic and the city. In addition to its maritime function, it is surrounded by a sculptural park that combines history, mythology and modern art, making it a cultural and tourist symbol of Galicia.
4
Praza de Maria Pita
The Plaza de María Pita is the main square of A Coruña and one of its most emblematic spaces. Opened in the late 19th century, it is presided over by the majestic Municipal Palace and the statue of Maria Pita, local heroine who defended the city from English attack in 1589. Surrounded by portals and buildings with typical glass galleries, it is a meeting place, full of terraces and cultural events, considered the social and symbolic heart of the city.

Monte de San Pedro
Mount San Pedro is a former military site located on the top of a cliff west of A Coruña. For centuries it was a strategic zone of defense of the city, equipped with large canyons that are still preserved and part of its historical appeal.
Today it is transformed into a park-viewpoint, with green areas, ponds, a panoramic glass elevator and paths that allow you to enjoy spectacular views of the coast, the beaches of Riazor and Orzán, and the city itself. It is a place where nature, history and leisure are mixed, ideal for walking or watching the sunset over the Atlantic.
