The Mitzpe Ramon Visitor Center offers interactive exhibits explaining the natural processes which led to the creation of the makhtesh (which is over 40km long at its widest point). It is a small hill resembling a sitting camel that overlooks the Ramon Crater. This beautiful desert site offers a stunning view of the crater, and the observation deck is one of the best places to watch the sun rise or set.
