Itinerary
The walk begins at the island’s sports facilities, overlooking the old Telegraph Office. A key landmark along the way is the Lazaretta, the hospitable quarantine building, built in 1840 by the Bavarian architect Wilhelm von Weiler.
Heading northeast, your first stop is the Tarsanas of Ermoupoli, the oldest shipyard in the Cyclades, where traditional wooden shipbuilding techniques have remained alive since 1860.
Continuing toward the Neorion shipyard, we then pass by the small harbor and cross the Karnagio, a place filled with maritime stories.
