Itinerary
1
White House
A stroll down Pennsylvania Avenue to the White House.
Learn about White House history and unsavory tales of presidential scandals past and present.
20 minutes
2
Lafayette Square
We will visit Lafayette Square Park, across from the north lawn of the White House. A historic place where we will talk about the development of the capital city, important monuments and buildings surrounding the park. Then stop by the longest running protest in the United States. The park remains a popular place for protests and community gatherings with a festival atmosphere on most weekends.
20 minutes
3
St. John's Episcopal Church
St John’s Episcopal Church is also known as the President’s Church. Abraham Lincoln would often sit in the back pew of the church, look out the windows overlooking Lafayette Park and the White House to pray for the country during the civil war.
20 minutes
4
Astro Doughnuts & Fried Chicken
During this tour, we begin with a specialty donut from a local shop established by a retired DC Capital's Hockey player who shares his love for donuts, fried chicken and regional beers on draft.
Then we enjoy a savory egg dish at one of DC most popular bakeries around the corner from the White House.
Time for something chill at City Center, we will end the tour at the best gelato shop in town. City Center is DC's newest and trendiest venue featuring designer shops and award winning restaurants.
