Before entering St. Peter’s Basilica, our guide will explain the story behind its design and the great artists who contributed to its construction. Every element of the square and façade carries deep meaning, which we’ll discover together. We will then enter the Basilica, where for about 60 minutes you’ll admire some of the most important works of Christian art, including: Michelangelo’s Pietà The Baldachin by Gian Lorenzo Bernini We’ll uncover interesting details and curiosities about the artworks we’ll see, and we’ll also have the opportunity to visit the crypt, where the tombs of the popes are kept.
