Experience one of the most iconic Sound of Music filming locations on a refreshing winter hike above Werfen. This easy trail leads you through a quiet, snow-covered forest and up to the meadow where Maria and the children started the famous “Do-Re-Mi” scene.
The route is 1.4 km each way with around 200 meters of elevation gain—a steady but manageable climb for anyone with basic fitness. As we walk, you’ll hear the story behind the making of the film in Austria and learn more about the real von Trapp family whose life inspired Hollywood.
