Fujisan Hongu Sengen Taisha Shrine
The head shrine of the 1300-odd Sengen shrines in Japan. It is the oldest shrine in the Tokai region.
The deity is Mt.Fuji. The main shrine, built by Tokugawa Ieyasu, is a national important cultural property, with Wakutama-ike pond which is fed by melted snow from Mt.Fuji, a national special monument.
