Itinerary
1
Cherbourg Cruise Terminal
Your memorable journey will begin at the cruise terminal, where you will be greeted by our local representatives and your experienced English-speaking guide. The drive to Omaha Beach will take approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes, where your tour will begin.
1 hour and 30 minutes
2
Sainte-Mere-Eglise
This town holds a significant place in history as one of the first to be liberated during D-Day in World War II. It is best known for its iconic church, which draws visitors intrigued by the story of paratrooper John Steele, whose parachute became caught on the church steeple during the Allied invasion.
We will stop at a local bakery where you can purchase food, though you are also welcome to bring your own meal—especially if you have specific dietary needs or restrictions.
1 hour
3
Omaha Beach
Afterward, head to Omaha Beach and pass along 8 km of coastline facing the English Channel. Ashore, you will find a sculpture called Les Braves, meaning "The Braves" in honor of the soldiers who fought in the war. There will be an opportunity to stop for a quick lunch near Omaha Beach.
2 hours
4
Normandy American Cemetery
Next, continue the tour to the Normandy American Cemetery to pay tribute to the fighters of the battle. The visitor center offers a detailed exhibition about the war. This will be our last stop before heading back for a 2-hour drive to the port or your hotel.
2 hours
5
Pointe du Hoc
After driving for 2 hours through the Normandy countryside, your first stop will be at Pointe du Hoc, where you can see the numerous bomb craters that have remained untouched since the war. Climb through the various bunkers to witness how the Germans used the cliffs to their advantage, and imagine how the Americans attacked and captured the battery after scaling the cliffs.

6
Cherbourg Cruise Terminal
As your memorable journey draws to an end, we will make our way back to Cherbourg, our final stop. Sit back, unwind, and take in the passing Normandy countryside as you reflect on the powerful moments and historical insights experienced throughout the day.
