Shanghai has a wealth of history and architecture, but personally, my favorite building here is a quiet, lesser-known, yet astonishing British structure — the 1933 Slaughterhouse.
As the only survivor of its kind, the slaughterhouse has an amazing design, an original auto-production line, and rich history connected to the 1920s-1930s Shanghai history.
This tour is for anyone who loves unusual places, history, and architecture. Apart from this remarkable building, there are also many authentic Shanghai local residences nearby.
The tour lasts about 2 hours, focusing mainly on this beautiful historic building, along with some local insights into the surrounding area.

1933 Old Millfun was the only survivor of the historical slaughterhouse. Its history reflects the development of modern Shanghai and China. It's not the typical touristy place, but its unique design, rich history, and stunning architecture, as well as the nice neighbourhood, make this place very unique and definitely my favourite place in Shanghai.
