After being picked up from your Sandakan, head to the Kinabatangan River region, enjoy a stunning two to three-hour overland journey through Sabah's rural villages and countryside. Check into your lodge and get set into your dormitory. As the day fades into golden hour, enjoy a river boat along the Kinabatangan River after meeting your guide at approximately 4 p.m. to get a summary of the activities and wildlife encounters you might expect while visiting, .As you go through one of the best ecosystems in Southeast Asia then look for potential proboscis monkeys, hornbills, macaques, orangutans, and other animals that gather along the riverbanks.
