Day 1: Sacred Valley MTB Tour – Chinchero, Moray, Maras Salt Mines + Train to Aguas Calientes

Chinchero
We kick off in Chinchero, visiting a local textile center where Andean women demonstrate ancient weaving and dyeing techniques—an authentic experience that promotes responsible tourism in Cusco.

Moray
Then we travel to Moray, the starting point of your Maras Moray biking adventure. Equipped with professional mountain bikes and full safety gear, we ride through stunning agricultural terraces. The route continues through the colonial town of Maras, descending to the spectacular Maras Salt Mines, with over 3,000 salt ponds still operated by local families.

Ollantaytambo Sanctuary
We continue to Ollantaytambo, a living Inca village. After a short rest, board the train to Aguas Calientes, the town at the base of Machu Picchu. This scenic ride offers a unique transition from Andean highlands to lush cloud forest.
Once in Aguas Calientes, we escort you to your hotel for a good night’s rest before the big day: your guided Machu Picchu tour.
