Bang Pa In Palace
08:30 – Arrive at Bang Pa-In Palace. Originally a river island, it was developed into a royal retreat during the reign of King Prasat Thong (1630–1655). The palace features five main buildings, each with its own unique architectural style.

Wat Yai Chai Mongkol
10:00 – Visit Wat Yai Chai Mongkhon, also known as "Wat Chao Phraya Thai." Its towering central pagoda, built by King Naresuan in the late 16th century, was designed to rival the height of the Burmese-built Phu Khao Thong temple.

Wat Phra Sri Sanphet
Visit Wat Phra Si Sanphet, built by King U-Thong in 1357 as a royal monastery for meditation. It was the most important temple in Ayutthaya, located within the Grand Palace grounds, and later inspired the design of the Temple of the Emerald Buddha in Bangkok.

Temple of the Reclining Buddha (Wat Lokayasutharam)
11:00 – Visit Phra Noon, the giant Reclining Buddha at Wat Lokayasutharam. This temple is known for its massive Buddha image lying peacefully in the open air. The compound is also surrounded by two ancient temples and several historic ruins.

Wat Mahathat
12:00 – Visit Wat Maha That, also known as the “Monastery of the Great Relic.” Once the spiritual center of Buddhism in the Ayutthaya Kingdom, it was later set on fire by the Burmese. The most iconic feature here is the Buddha head entwined in tree roots.
Next, explore Wat Na Phra Men, or “The Monastery in Front of the Funeral Pyre.” This temple houses the crowned Buddha—an impressive image in royal attire, seated in the Subduing Mara posture. It stands 6 meters tall and 4.5 meters wide, made of metal and covered in gold leaf.
