The Chocó del Atacazo, located at 3,500 meters above sea level on the western slopes of Quito, is a cloud forest and páramo ecosystem with high biodiversity. This area is ideal for birdwatching, as it is home to emblematic species such as the Black-breasted Puffleg, which is endangered, along with hummingbirds, tanagers, Andean toucans, and other native birds.

Rucu Pichincha
