Mitad Del Mundo
The Mitad del Mundo (Middle of the World) is a famous monument located just in the north of Quito, marking the line that represents the country. The monument, built in 1936, is an iconic landmark that attracts visitors from all over the world. At the Mitad del Mundo, visitors can stand with one foot in each hemisphere, experiencing the unique position where the Earth is divided into two equal parts. One of the most craziets experiments is traying to balance an egg in the head of a nail.
