We'll start outside Holyrood Palace. We won't go inside, but I'll tell you some of Scotland's royal history and how it ties into Edinburgh's past and present.

We'll walk the entire length of the Royal Mile. On the way, we'll occasionally stop in alleyways and courtyards off the main street where I'll tell you stories of Edinburgh's history.

We'll stop in Bakehouse Close, famous as a filming location in the television series Outlander and Guillermo del Toro's Netflix movie Frankenstein.

You'll see Victoria Street, famous as the most colourful shopping street in the Old Town.

In Grassmarket you'll get great views of Edinburgh Castle from beneath

In Greyfriar's graveyard I'll tell you about the famous characters buried here, some of whom might be linked to Harry Potter!

We'll finish our tour beside Edinburgh Castle. Although we don't enter the castle on this tour, I recommend you purchase your own tickets to do so.
