Castelmola
Castelmola is a small jewel in the province of Messina. Its name derives from the ancient Norman fortress that is its symbol, of which only a few fascinating ruins remain today. From here, the view encompasses Mount Etna, the bay of Giardini Naxos, and the stretch of coast to the south. A municipality of 1,065 inhabitants, the town is listed among the most beautiful villages in Italy and is a popular tourist destination due to its proximity to Taormina.
