Arc de Triomphe du Carrousel

Meeting with your professional guide at the Carousel arc at 6.00 pm. Your guide will be waiting for you with a sign. The impressive pyramid made by the American architect Pei is the main entrance of the Museum. You have a pass for priority entry. With your professional guide you will then visit the 3 departments of the Museum: Sully, Denon and Richelieu. In the Sully wing, you will discover the oldest part of the Museum. You will be immersed in the world of the Middle Ages. In the Denon department, you will find wonderful Greek statues: Venus de Milo & Victoire de Samothrace as well as Italian paintings. The Italian Gallery is almost 1 km long. It houses most of the great Italian masters: Da Vinci, Raphael, Caravaggio, Veronese, .... A little further you will discover all the details of the Coronation of Napoleon. David's gigantic painting tells us about the Coronation of the Emperor in Notre Dame Cathedral.
