We will pick you up from your hotel or your address that you will send to us in Halkidiki at 08.30, and will we follow the road towards to archeological site of Aigai (modern name Vergina), that will take approximately 2 hours until we get there. When we will arrive at Vergina, you will have enough time to visit the tombs of Macedonian kings, including Philip II, father of Alexander the Great, at Museum of the Royal Tombs of Aigai (Vergina), a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Built around an ancient burial ground inside a large earth mound, the museum is uniquely constructed to protect the tombs while exhibiting artifacts and showing the burial ground as it was before the excavations. Explore the four tombs and artifacts on display, and don't miss the only surviving examples of ancient Greek painting; one depicts the rape of Persephone and the other a hunting scene.
After that you can enjoy optional a coffee or lunch to the town of Vergina before we follow the road back to Halkidiki.
