The most traditional neighborhood of the city is also a maze of narrow streets, small alleys and steep staircases. All filled with history in every corner. And always descending towards the river. Without a doubt an incredible experience and a wonderful way to get to know Lisbon.

Lisbon Cathedral
The main cathedral of Lisbon and its architecture must be visited. This church began to be built in the twelfth century and had works and improvements until the twentieth century. Because of this you can witness various styles such as Baroque, Romanesque and Gothic.

Praca do Comercio (Terreiro do Paco)
This is the largest square in Lisbon and was for many centuries the most important commercial area in Portugal, as well as the entrance to the city. Nowadays you will see several restaurants and bars to enjoy the river. And you can pass the arch to enter the city and walk along the longest pedestrian street of the city with its traditional Portuguese sidewalk.

Mosteiro dos Jeronimos
The Jerónimos Monastery is, along with the Tower of Belém, one of the most visited sites in Lisbon. Here you can visit their church and cloisters. The Church of Santa Maria is completely different from any other in the world. Its unique ship supported by six beautifully carved columns makes it seem like it stretches forever. The two claustros are breathtaking with their decorative ornamentation and symbolism.

Torre de Belem
This tower was built during the 16th century on the north bank of the Tejo River to defend the city. Later it was transformed into lighthouse and customs. Here you can see an impressive Manueline style.

Padrao dos Descobrimentos
This impressive monument was designed to celebrate the Age of Discoveries in Portugal. It was inaugurated in 1960, marking the fifth hundredth anniversary of the death of one of the country's great discoverers, Prince Henry the Navigator. The monument consists of a set of sculptures that represent a proa of a caravella with the most important personalities in Portuguese history.
