Mount Etna
Depart your hotel with your expert driver to begin your excursion to Mt. Etna, Europe's largest live volcano and one of the world's most active. Enjoy a pleasant drive through the countryside and mountain villages to Rifugio Sapienza, the volcano’s base station where you will see the evidence of the eruptions of 1982, 2001 and 2002. You can upgrade your experience with a guided trip to the volcano’s upper crater. Travel up by cable car to La Montagnola, at an altitude of 8250 ft where to meet the alpine licensed guide and travel by off road vehicle through the eerie lava-scape to the top of the crater, at approximately 9,500 ft (3,000 meters)
