Taj Mahal
The Taj Mahal, a white‑marble mausoleum on the banks of the Yamuna River in Agra, was commissioned by Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan in 1632 to honor his beloved wife Mumtaz Mahal, and completed around 1648–1653 . Designed by Ustad Ahmad Lahori, the structure blends Persian, Islamic, and Indian architectural styles, featuring a central domed tomb flanked by four slender minarets, exquisite pietra dura inlay, and symmetrical Charbagh gardens . Celebrated as a symbol of eternal love, the Taj Mahal is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the New Seven Wonders of the World, drawing millions of visitors each year

Agra Fort
Agra Fort, often called the Red Fort of Agra, is a massive 16th-century Mughal fortress and palace, built by Emperor Akbar around 1565–1573 using red sandstone with walls stretching nearly 2.5 km and towering 21 m high. Within its ramparts lies an imperial city featuring monumental structures such as Jahangir’s Palace, the marble Khas Mahal, the ornate Sheesh Mahal (Mirror Palace), and the elegant Moti Masjid—many added by Shah Jahan . The fort also houses the Hall of Public Audience (Diwan‑i‑Aam) and the Hall of Private Audience (Diwan‑i‑Khas), where the emperor held court before illustrious visitors. Famously, Shah Jahan was imprisoned here by his son Aurangzeb and spent his final years gazing at the Taj Mahal from the Musamman Burj tower

Itmad-ud-Daula
The Tomb of Itimad‑ud‑Daulah, built between 1622 and 1628 by Empress Nur Jahan in memory of her father Mirza Ghiyas‑ud‑Din (Itimad‑ud‑Daulah), is considered a delicate jewel‑box mausoleum nestled in the peaceful Char Bagh garden along the Yamuna River. It was the first Mughal structure in India made entirely of white marble, decorated with elaborate pietra dura inlay and fine jali screens, marking a pivotal transition from red sandstone to the elegant marble aesthetic later perfected in the Taj Mahal

Mehtab Bagh
Located just north of the Taj Mahal across the Yamuna River, Mehtab Bagh, or the “Moonlight Garden,” is a serene Mughal-era charbagh complex in Agra built originally by Emperor Babur and later refined by Shah Jahan .. Spanning about 25 acres in a perfectly square layout (~300×300 m), the garden is meticulously aligned with the Taj Mahal and offers a stunning reflection of the monument in its central octagonal pond, especially under moonlight or at sunset
