Paseo Tablado de Pinones
In our cultural tour you will visit the town of Piñones where its rich culture, music and art is attributed to enslaved african ancestors from hundreds of year ago. Municipality of Loíza is arguably among the purest centers of true African culture in the Western world, tracing its ancestors to the Yoruba tribe of West Africa. Piñones is a must see picturesque ocean drive to Loíza where you can enjoy local dining experiences and practice what Puerto Ricans call chinchorreo. Sample delicious finger foods specialties ( 1pp included).

Loiza
The Municipality of Loíza in the island of Puerto Rico is home of a beautiful and easy-access cavern that is not too far away from Piñones sector: Cueva María de la Cruz. One of the earliest signs of human habitation was found at Loíza in the Cueva de María la Cruz- remains of the first Puerto Rico’s settlers, the Arcaico indigenous people, were found in this cave during an exploration led by anthropologist Dr. Ricardo Alegría in 1948.
This cavern is a limestone gem that shelters remarkable cave and limestone formations.

Monserrate Beach
Among top 30 world's beaches is the Balneario La Monserrate in the eastern region of Puerto Rico, specifically in the town of Luquillo. The water is warm and calm and clear. Perfect for anyone but especially nice for families. The beach is lined with palm and almond trees. The clean, golden sand stretches for about a mile, backed by a grove of coconut palms, earning the locals the nickname of Los come cocos (the coconut eaters). In the distance you can see the dramatic peaks of El Yunque rainforest cloaked in purple thunder clouds.

The El Yunque National Forest offers great biodiversity with distinct and varied ecological zones within a comparatively small area. Hundreds of different animal species make El Yunque their home, among them 26 endemic to the island. Eels, chopa fish and river shrimp can be seen in the cristal clear waters.

Canovanas
Driving back to the metropolitan area to the Panadería España or Condado. We'll drive on the Highway 66 via municipality of Canovanas, known as la Cuna de los Indios (“The Indians' Cradle”), or Pueblo Valeroso (“The Valiant Town”), in part because the local tribe helped defend the Spaniards from the native Taíno uprising in 1511. But the name that is most relevant nowadays is la Ciudad de las Carreras (“The Racing Horse Town”) since it is home to the only horse track on the Island and the local culture is closely tied to equestrian sport. With this we complete our exploration of five municipalities of the Northeast.
