Itinerary
1
Arch of Hadrian
Stand before the Arch of Hadrian - or Adrian's Gate - a monumental gateway in Athens, built in honor of Roman Emperor Hadrian in 131-132 AD. It marked the boundary between the ancient city and the new city developed by Hadrian.
5 minutes
2
Temple of Olympian Zeus
The Temple of Olympian Zeus , also known as the
Columns of the Olympian Zeus, is a colossal temple in the centre of Athens, now in ruins. It was dedicated to "Olympian" Zeus, a name originating from his position as head of the Olympian gods. Construction began in the 6th century BC during the rule of the Athenian tyrants but it was not completed until the reign of Roman Emperor Hadrian in the 2nd century AD, some 638 years after the project had begun.
3
Athens National Garden
Step into the National Garden, a lush, shaded oasis in the heart of Athens, just steps from Syntagma Square. A true oasis at the city's core, with plants and flowers from every corner of the world — many of which still can't be found anywhere else in the country. The path leads naturally to the Zappeion, an elegant 19th-century building surrounded by manicured grounds — a favorite spot for a relaxed stroll and a glimpse of everyday Athenian life away from the crowds.
15 minutes
4
Hellenic Parliament
The Hellenic Parliament, in Greek known as Voulí ton Ellínon is the parliament of Greece, located in the Old Royal Palace, overlooking Syntagma Square in Athens. The Parliament is the supreme democratic institution that represents the citizens through an elected body of Members of Parliament.

Tomb of the Unknown Soldier
We will see the changing of the guard (Euzones) in front of the old palace, which is today Parliament House, above the central square of Athens.
10 minutes

Plateia Syntagmatos
Visit Syntagma Square, the beating heart of modern Athens, where history and city life meet. Set right in front of the Hellenic Parliament, this lively square is framed by neoclassical buildings and inviting cafés. It's the city's main gathering place — a true symbol of Athens, blending tradition with everyday energy for visitors to soak in.
5 minutes
7
National Historical Museum - Old Parliament House
The National Historical Museum is permanently housed in the Old Parliament Building at Stadiou Street (Kolokotronis square) since 1960. The Museum narrates the history of Modern Greece. Today, Kolokotronis Square is dominated by the equestrian statue of Theodoros Kolokotronis. The bronze statue of the commander in chief of the Revolution of 1821 was originally placed at the beginning of Kolokotronis street. It was transferred to its current location in 1954, during the restoration of the Old Parliament Building, in order to signal the link of the museum with the city.
8
Central Market
Athens' food market bustling with locals stocking up on fresh produce, meat and fish. Beneath the lively buzz lies an honest slice of everyday life — a genuine window into the city's culinary soul.
