KIDDY LAND is the biggest toy store in Harajuku.
In 1950, it was established as a tiny bookstore.
Then they started to deal with toys, fancy goods and character items.
They are also said to be the first one to introduce Christmas and Halloween events in Japan
In 1983 they hosted the first ever Halloween parade in Japan.

Laforet Harajuku is a fashion building which is one of the landmarks of Harajuku. There are a lot of lolita brands on the basement floor.

Takeshita Street
Takeshita street is the central shopping street of Harajuku area. From 11am to 6pm it becomes a pedestrian-only zone.
There are about 100 shops in the 350m-long street.
Many of them are clothes shops, accessory shops and cafes for young people.
Some shops close in a few years,
but a few shops stay there for about 30 years.
