Abydos
The Abydos Temple, located in Upper Egypt, is one of the most significant ancient sites, primarily known for the Temple of Seti I. Built by Pharaoh Seti I and completed by Ramses II, it features beautifully preserved reliefs and the famous Abydos King List, a chronological record of Egypt’s pharaohs. The temple was a major center for the worship of Osiris, the god of the afterlife, and a key pilgrimage site. Its intricate carvings, detailed hieroglyphics, and unique seven-chapel layout make it one of Egypt’s most impressive and sacred temples.
