Today you will be picked up from your centrally located Shanghai at 8am, then take 1-hour car ride to Zhouzhuang Water Town. This is an ancient water town with a long history of over 1000 years. There are nearly 100 classical courtyards, about 60 brick-carved arches, and 14 ancient stone bridges in Zhouzhuang Water Town. Most of the buildings were built in Ming Dynasty (1368–1644AD) and Qing Dynasty(1644–1911AD). Upon arrival, you will visit the old houses, lanes, temples, corridors, and scholar's home etc. It is nice to view the wooden boats in the canal. You can watch a Kun Opera in the theater here if you like. Chinese lunch is included at local restaurant. Later you will be transferred back to your Shanghai hotel where the day tour concludes.
