This will the first stop in the guided tour , after the main gate of Petra.Locals believed that genies used to live inside , in fact they are tower shaped tombs , we have such kind of tombs in Phoenicia .

Beleived that is a family tomb for five people ,we can tell that from the exterior ; we have four obelisk and a statue for a man at the top of the tomb ( represent the father of the family ). Also from inside we can tell ( will not go inside , as Petra is a big city, save your time and energy to what we see later !) we have five sarcophaguses inside, carved out in the ground .

A Narrow canyon ,leading to the city of Petra. This is not a man made gorge , it the beginning was a tectonic fault ,then enlarged by water flow. Siq is three fourth a mile length , and one hundred meter height at average .Through the Siq we will have few stops to see the original pavement , water pipes, nabataeans idols and more.

This is the most famous façade in Petra. Locals believe that Pharaoh of Egypt left his Treasure there, this explains the name ( Khazneh means Treasury ). In fact it was Nabataesn tomb dated back to the first century B.C, we can tell from teh style and architecture ,no inscription there to proof this.

Facades we see there are tombs in fact. Hegra type tombs ( Hegra or Mada'in saleh is the nabataeans city in Alulla Saudi Arabia nowadays ). dated back to the first century A.D ( we say this from the style of architecture -mainly the columns).They are family tombs , if you have the chance to go inside one of them, we can tell from the number of sarcophagus we have inside .
