Here will be our first stop to take a breather from the journey in the quaint and authentic picturesque town of Amarante. Known for its charming architecture and scenic views, Amarante is nestled along the banks of the Tâmega River. Here, we will have the opportunity to explore the historic São Gonçalo Church and Bridge, both iconic landmarks of the town. Strolling through the cobbled streets, enjoying the local pastries, and taking in the serene ambiance make Amarante a hidden gem in northern Portugal.

Pinhao
Upon arrival in Pinhão, we will seize the opportunity to embark on a scenic boat cruise amidst majestic mountains, immersing ourselves in breathtaking landscapes. Pinhão is situated in the heart of the Douro Valley, a UNESCO World Heritage site renowned for its stunning vineyards that produce the famous Port wine. During the cruise, we can marvel at the terraced hillsides and picturesque riverbanks. This stop offers a perfect blend of natural beauty and cultural heritage.

After the scenic boat cruise, we will indulge in a delightful traditional Portuguese lunch experience in Pinhão. Savor the rich flavors of regional cuisine, featuring fresh ingredients and time-honored recipes passed down through generations. Here we will explore one of the region's finest vineyards, where a tasting of white, red, and port wines awaits, alongside honey and local olives, with the best view to Douro Valley. Additionally, a guided tour will be provided insight into the wine-making process

Pinhao Railway Station
Surrounded by towering mountains, our journey continues with the possibility of an unforgettable train journey along the scenic route to Peso da Régua. Please note that this experience is subject to the availability of train schedules. However, if the train journey is not feasible, rest assured that we will still make our way to Peso da Régua together, ensuring that you don't miss out on any of the enchanting sights along the way.
If the train ride becomes a reality, you'll embark on a mesmerizing voyage following the river's path, offering unparalleled views of the Douro Valley's terraced vineyards and charming riverside villages. As we glide along the tracks, you'll have the opportunity to relax and soak in the beauty of the landscape, creating memories that will last a lifetime.
Upon arrival in Peso da Régua, whether by train or car, we'll continue our exploration of this captivating region together.

Here, you'll have a quick stop to stretch your legs and take a brief rest in the charming city of Peso da Régua before we head back to Porto. Enjoy a glimpse of local life and perhaps grab a coffee or snack to recharge for the journey ahead.
