I Trulli di Alberobello - World Heritage Site
Alberobello
in Puglia, with its Trulli, it is one of the 54 Italian sites included in the World Heritage List by Unesco.
The name derives from the late Greek τρούλος, or "dome" and indicates the ancient conical dry stone constructions of prehistoric origin. The stone used for the constructions was obtained from limestone rocks of the Murge plateau.
