Vinicunca Mountain
Pickup from your accommodation in Ollantaytambo or Urubamba at 03:00 AM, followed by a transfer to the tourist transport that will take us to Vinicunca Rainbow Mountain.
We begin the journey to Cusipata, which takes approximately 2 to 3 hours, enjoying beautiful landscapes and passing through traditional villages. Upon arrival in Cusipata, we stop to enjoy a semi-buffet breakfast, ideal for recharging energy before the adventure.
After breakfast, we continue traveling for about 1 hour to Phulawasipata (4,600 m), the starting point of the hike. The hike to Rainbow Mountain or Vinicunca (5,200 m) is approximately 3.5 km. During the trek you will see impressive landscapes, alpacas, and snow-capped peaks of the Vilcanota Mountain Range.
Upon reaching the viewpoint, you will have free time to rest, take photographs, and enjoy the unique scenery. Afterwards, we begin the descent back to the starting point, return to Cusipata for lunch, and finally head back to the original dro poff location.
