Fatima
About
Fatima is one of the largest pilgrimage centers in the world, built around the place where, in 1917, the Virgin Mary appeared to three shepherds. After visiting the Basilica where the three seers are buried, the chapel of apparitions and the modern Church of the Holy Trinity, we will have some free time to prayers or attend a celebration (optional). Shortly afterwards, the tour goes to Valinhos, the small village where the three young shepherds were born, and we will visit their homes, having the chance to see what the region’s houses looked like at the beginning of the XX century.
Sinta - UNESCO World Heritage, has been the summer residence of the royal family since the fourteenth century....

Fatima
The famous Marian Sanctuary of Fatima is without a doubt one of the most important pilgrimage centers in the world. Millions of people come here annually to pay homage to the three shepherd children who witnessed the apparitions of the Virgin Mary in the fields of “Cova da Iria”. Free time to attend Mass (optional), visit the Chapel of the Apparitions where you can see the image of the Virgin Mary. We will also visit the Basilica where we can find the tombs of Lucia, Jacinta and Francisco (the last two were canonized by Pope Francis on May 2017, thus becoming the youngest saints of the Catholic Church). As we continue, we will visit the modern church of the Blessed Trinity of Fatima, which seats 8,633 people and has an area of 40,000 square meters. The church was designed and projected by the Greek architect, Alexandros Tombazis. Time allowed for religious shopping (optional).

Valinhos Sanctuary
The village where the three shepherd children, Lucia, Jacinta and Francisco, were born and lived. Visit their family’s limestone houses. It use to be an isolated and poor area in the interior of Portugal but nonetheless very beautiful.

Sintra
Sintra is without a doubt one of the most extraordinary places in Portugal. Its microclimate transforms this small town situated on the slopes of the mountain range “Serra de Sintra” next to the Atlantic, into a major attraction for visitors who go there to admire its famous castles and palaces or simply taste the traditional food, pastries and sweets. And let’s not forget the souvenir shops selling typical local items. We will stop in the historic center where you will have time to try the famous “travesseiros” and “queijadas” at the Piriquita Pastry Shop and explore the narrow streets of the most romantic town in Portugal. Visit one of these palaces: National Palace of Sintra, National Palace of Pena, Quinta da Regaleira, Palace of Monserrate. (optional visit - entrance fee)
