Located about 25 miles (40 km) northwest of Ho Chi Minh City, the Cu Chi tunnels consist of a vast network of 155 miles (250 km) of tunnels connecting underground living and cooking areas, storage facilities, weapons factories, field hospitals, command center but also hundreds of trap doors. Cu Chi Tunnels
Situated 40 km away from Ho Chi Minh City, the Cu Chi tunnels consist of a vast and ingenious network of underground tunnels connecting living and cooking areas, storage facilities, weapons factories, field hospitals, command centers but also hundreds of trap doors, that played a strategic role in the resistance of the Viet Cong soldiers during the war, helping them to control a large rural area around Ho Chi Minh City.
