We linger where it matters. Bethesda Terrace, Bow Bridge, the Imagine mosaic at Strawberry Fields, Belvedere Castle and the Wollman Rink skyline each get a full ten minutes, with unlimited extra stops whenever you spot something you like. Between them your guide points out quiet corners most visitors walk straight past, and film locations you will recognise instantly - Home Alone 2 at G...

Itinerary
1
Bethesda Terrace
A grand two-level plaza with the famous Bethesda Fountain (Angel of the Waters) overlooking the Lake - one of Central Park's most iconic photo spots. Your guide pauses here so you can take photos and hear the story behind it.
10 minutes
2
Bow Bridge
The romantic cast-iron Bow Bridge arching over the Lake, framed by the skyline and trees - a favorite film location and one of the most photographed spots in the park. Perfect for a photo stop.
10 minutes
3
Strawberry Fields, John Lennon Memorial
The Beatles memorial and Imagine mosaic dedicated to John Lennon, set in a peaceful landscaped area of the park. A meaningful photo stop with a story your guide will share.
10 minutes
4
Belvedere Castle
A charming Victorian stone castle on Vista Rock with sweeping views over Turtle Pond and the Great Lawn - one of the best viewpoints in Central Park and a great photo stop.
10 minutes
5
Wollman Rink
Your guide pauses at the rink made famous by Home Alone 2 and Serendipity, and will take the photo for you. In winter you watch skaters circle beneath the Midtown skyline; in summer the same spot opens onto a wide view of Central Park South.
10 minutes
6
Gapstow Bridge
The vine-covered stone arch over the Pond, instantly recognisable from Home Alone 2 and Gossip Girl. One of the most photographed views in the park, with the Plaza Hotel framed behind it.
7
Central Park Zoo
You roll past the gates of the zoo that inspired Madagascar and appeared in Mr. Popper's Penguins. Listen for the Delacorte Clock, whose bronze animals circle and chime on the half hour.
8
Balto Statue
The bronze sled dog who carried diphtheria antiserum across Alaska in 1925 and later starred in his own animated film. A favourite with kids, polished smooth by decades of small hands.
9
Conservatory Water
The model boat pond from Stuart Little, where hobbyists still sail miniature yachts on weekends. The Alice in Wonderland and Hans Christian Andersen statues sit on its banks.
10
Sheep Meadow
Fifteen acres of open lawn with the Midtown skyline rising straight up behind it. Real sheep grazed here until 1934. This is the classic Central Park postcard shot.
11
The Dakota
The Gothic apartment building across from Strawberry Fields where John Lennon lived, and the exterior used in Rosemary's Baby. Your guide points out the gabled roofline from inside the park.
12
Central Park Carousel
One of the largest merry-go-rounds in the country, with 57 hand-carved horses dating to 1908. You hear the band organ before you see it.
