Ifrane
The modern town of Ifrane was established by the French administration in 1928 during the protectorate era for their administration due to its Alpine climate. Ifrane was conceived as a “hill station” or colonial type of settlement. It is a resort town set high up in the mountains so that Europeans can find relief from the summer heat of tropical colonies. Ifrane is also a popular altitude training destination.

Cedar Forest Outdoors
The cedars cover vast stretches of Morocco's mountainous the Middle Atlas, near the town of Azrou.
It is these rugged slopes that are home to a rare and iconic cedar, named after World War I French general Henri Gouraud, who was stationed in Morocco to take charge of colonial troops.
A key tourist attraction, the Gouraud cedar stands 42 meters (140 feet) tall and is 900 years old, with one distinctive branch that juts out like a candelabra.

With a population of 55,304 recorded in the 2014 Moroccan census,[1] Midelt serves as the commercial center of a large agricultural hinterland. It is also one of Morocco's principle cities for the mining of several minerals.

On the way to the Sahara, you will encounter and the Ouled (river) Ziz and the Ziz valley that punctuate the landscape with their brilliant green palms. With the golden prehistoric valley walls towering above you, and the dusty ancient kasbah's & ksar dotting the palm groves, the Ziz lends a feel of what it might be like to mix the worlds of Jurassic Park and Indiana Jones, making it the perfect place to put on your explorers’ hat and go on an adventure.

Merzouga Desert
It's a small Moroccan town in the Sahara Desert, not too far from the Algerian border. It's known as the door to Erg Chebbi, a huge stretch of sand dunes south of town.
