Housed in an 18th-century building that once served as a country inn, the winery reflects the deep hospitality and rich traditions of the Basque Country. The Sáenz de Samaniego family manages 40 hectares of vineyards, cultivating a variety of grapes such as Tempranillo, Graciano, and Malvasia. Next, we visit Bodega Gómez Cruzado, one of the oldest wineries in the Barrio de la Estación in Haro, founded in 1886. We enjoy a guided tasting inside the winery, surrounded by barrels and tanks, where we sample a selection of their signature wines and gain insight into their winemaking philosophy and the character of Rioja Alta.

Bodegas Roda, a modern yet elegant winery located next to the historic Barrio de la Estación in Haro. Built above a former 19th-century underground cellar, the winery is designed to work with gravity and natural conditions, combining contemporary architecture with traditional winemaking philosophy. We explore the underground cellar before enjoying a tasting of their renowned wines, including Roda I red and Roda I white, accompanied by a tasting of their high-quality olive oil.

Time for lunch in a family-own restaurant in Labastida. It offers a delightful menu of regional Riojan cuisine, with specialties that highlight local flavors. Their lamb chops grilled on 'sarmiento' stand out for their unique smoky taste. The restaurant focuses on fresh, local ingredients to create authentic Riojan dishes.
