Uxmal is a stunning ancient city in the style of the mayan baroque. Pyramid of the Diviner, Monastery of the Nuns, Governor’s Palace, are still fascinating for visitors. There will be opportunity to also climb the great pyramid. This Maya city placed on the hills is the largest and most beautiful in the northern region of Campeche. The present name seems to derive from Oxmal, meaning “three times built”. This seems to refer to the site’s antiquity and the times it had to rebuild.

Merida
The capital city of Yucatan is a gem of colonial architecture. Historic residences from the turn of the 19th and 20th century palaces, universities, and hotels add to its charm. After dinner we are going to see Montejo avenue. We will visit the National Palace and the Cathedral. We will spend some time on the famous zocalo. The city has more than one million inhabitants, thus it is the largest in the state of Yucatán. You will have some free time before we return to the hotel.

Izamal
From the Mayan language, Itzmal means „dew from heaven”. This magical town is located in the in the north of Yucatan state. The colonial Izamal is a one-of-a-kind city, all the buildings are painted in yellow.
In the pre-Columbian period, this city was one of the important centers of Mayan culture, to this day you can admire the pyramids.
In the sixteenth century, the Spaniards built at the top of the pyramid the church and convent of the Franciscans Convento de San Antonio de Padua, which we are going to visit. In 1993, the monastery was visited by pope John Paul II, a monument was erected in his memory. You will have free time for a short walk.
