Quasano
During the excursion on foot we will visit this small village that still houses the remains of the Masseria del Barone, an ancient place of transhumance and its monumental Tree of Lies.
Going up the scenic hill overlooking the sea, we will delve into the oak woods surrounding this well-known holiday resort: an important ecosystem, habitat for various species of mammals such as wild boar and its natural predator, day and night birds of prey, reptiles such as scabbard, amphibians, insects such as dragonflies and fireflies, and wild plants such as typical Mediterranean herbs and numerous species of orchids, some of which are very rare.
We will explore the characteristic karst blades of the Apulian landscape within which we will find the ruins of ancient farms, places of pastoral tradition, and taste the prized Toritto Almond, typical local, included in the list of traditional Italian agri-food products.
