The Pastoruri Glacier is located at 5000 m.a.s.l., even so, it is one of the few glaciers in South America that is easily accessible (reached on foot), where special equipment is not required to reach it. It is located within the Huascarán Biosphere Reserve and Huascarán National Park, thus providing it with a very particular ecosystem. It is located at a higher point than Mont Blanc (highest peak in the European Union). It is considered a route where you can see the effects of climate change and global warming. Possibly in a few years it will no longer be possible to visit.

Pastoruri Glacier
We will leave towards the south of the city of Huaraz, heading to the Carpa Sector of the Huascarán National Park, crossing several towns of the Callejón de Huaylas.
Once in the park we will make some stops: Source of Gasified Water and in Source of the 7 colors.
Then we will stop at the incredible Puyas Raimondi, giant plants that bloom once in their lives and are 6 to 14 meters tall.
We will continue towards the start of the small walk to the Glacier (45 minutes / 2km approx), you can also hire the horseback ride service until the middle of the walk (service provided by the Catac community - Not included).
Once on the glacier (5000 m.a.s.l.), we will have a space to enjoy the area and photograph ourselves in style. The length of stay on the glacier will depend on climatic factors, arrival time, season, among others.
We will return by the same path to board our transportation and return to the city of Huaraz.
