Itinerary
1
Parque Memorial Inflexion
Here we'll see the site of the former Monaco building, owned by Escobar. It's now a memorial park commemorating more than 47,000 victims. We'll also learn about the bombings and attacks of that era.
1 hour and 10 minutes
2
Montesacro Cemetery
We will visit the most famous tomb in the world: that of Pablo Escobar, Gustavo Gaviria, and other members of their family. This site offers a historical and cultural glimpse into Escobar's influence.
35 minutes
3
La Catedral
From a viewpoint near La Catedral, travelers can observe from above the site where Pablo Escobar was imprisoned in his infamous private prison.
During the stop, the guide will explain the history of this location, how it was built according to his own specifications, what happened inside the prison, and the events that led to his escape. Although visitors do not enter the prison itself, the panoramic view allows them to understand its strategic location and its importance in the history of Medellín.
In addition, visitors will enjoy a privileged view of the city while reflecting on the contrast between Medellín's past and its current transformation.
1 hour and 10 minutes
4
Cancha El Dorado
At the El Dorado neighborhood sports field in Envigado, travelers will visit the place where Pablo Escobar grew up, now a vibrant, everyday space bustling with local life.
Beyond its past, this stop focuses on change: from an environment marked by a difficult era to a community that has moved forward. Here, the guide will explain how these neighborhoods have evolved over time and how their residents have been part of the city's transformation.
It's an opportunity to see the contrast between history and the present, understanding that Medellín is not defined by its past, but by its capacity to reinvent itself.
